JOB DESCRIPTION

Arts & Minds, coming soon to Harvey Oaks Plaza (144th & West Center Road, near Bag ‘N Save), is seeking friendly, outgoing individuals to join our sales team. Share your passion for education and art with our customers in an exciting work environment. Interested individuals must possess a professional appearance, a positive attitude, and an interest in creativity. Associates who can work flexible daytime, evening and weekend hours with computer and customer service experience are preferred..

JOB DUTIES

1. Sells art supply, teacher supply and educational toy products to customers.
2. Promotes and sells art class registrations and birthday party bookings. Complete registration process and accepts payment.
3. Resolves customer questions and complaint.
4. Responsible for increasing average sales through add-on sales.
5. Performs physical inventory and follows all inventory procedures.
6. Accurately operates retail point of sale system for transactions, capturing sales information.
7. Performs functions of opening or closing store as assigned.
8. Assist with birthday parties or art classes as assigned.
9. Any other duties requested by supervisor.
   

QUALIFICATIONS

Must possess a professional appearance, positive attitude and friendly personality.

Experience working with customers. Retail sales experience preferred.

Experience with point of sale system or computers.

High school diploma or equivalent.

An interest in art or some art education preferred.

Ability to work flexible, including some weekends.
